    Very direct to the point – how the lady empathized with the customer who did not have enough money to buy the guitar. It was the start of a relationshiip that would last a lifetime. Very simple yet powerful message. Very humane. Less dialogue but powerful message.

    Huling Tawad (Last Haggle) is a concise but multidimensional film. Breaking down scenes would reveal a meaning or two that support the story and each theme aspect [Somehow shows (a journey towards) Matthew 6:12 and the obvious, the difficult art of haggling (for love/courtship or a good guitar)]. It is visually, acoustically, and semantically meaningful.

I saw a “buyer” and a “seller” haggling on the price of the guitar. And yet, in a very subtle way, the Director implies a bitter-sweet “past” between the two principal characters. He then uses that item (guitar) as a medium/bridge/link in allowing these two individuals to cross path, meet in a new time and place, reconcile and patch up things under the spirit of forgiveness. Great “theme planning” on the part of the writer/director and a very realistic portrayal by two principal actor/actress.

    natatandaan ko pa nung dekada nobenta,, mayroong ganitong klaseng short film na mapapanood mo sa mga lokal na stasyon ng telebisyon gaya nang channel 4 at 13.. yung konsepto ba e ikaw mismo ang huhukay nang ideya at kung ano ang ibig sabihin,nais ipaalam at paksa na sadyang ginawa para gumising sa malayang kamalayan..sa madaling salita e malalim at kapakipakinabang ang ligaw na aral nang maiksing pelikula…
